Magnus Wiik - Gitar
Robert Alan Mackie - Kontrabass

Steve Jansen

Steve Jansen is a Texas-based experimentalist (and not Steve Jansen, the drummer from Japan!) whose musical pursuits focus on tape manipulation, alto saxophone, and electric guitar. Jansen has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Latin America, Europe, and across the States to unearth sound, and these recordings play a significant role in his unique sonic constructions. Jansen has toured with John Wiese (Sissy Spacek), Mike Majkowski and performed/collaborated with Rob Mazurek, Henry Kaiser, Jeph Jerman, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Jamison Williams, The Home of Easy Credit, Tim Daisy, James Fella, Chris Cogburn, Damon Smith, Sandy Ewen, and Whoopi Pupi. In May, Danish label El Paraiso released an LP by Black Cube Marriage, an ensemble led by Rob Mazurek that includes Jansen as a “special guest.”
